What’s the latest from Hawkins?

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Friday, July 5 and Saturday, July 6. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Stranger Things (Netflix, ongoing, third season finale): Normally, we’d guess that many of you would have already torn your way through the third season of Stranger Things, helpfully called Stranger Things 3. But yesterday was a holiday. On the one hand, that’s more time off to have dived back into the adventures of El, Will, Hopper, Joyce, and company. On the other hand, it was July 4. Hot dogs to be grilled, sparklers to be twirled, fireworks to be grumped over when they’re still going off at 2 a.m. So, how far into the Upside Down did you descend?

Emily L. Stephens’ first four recaps ran yesterday, and the last four arrive today. Whatever your pace, they’ll be waiting.

Regular coverage

Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. (ABC, Friday, 8 p.m.)

Wild card

Enchanted Kingdom (BBC America, Saturday, 9 p.m.): BBCA’s Wild Summer series continues with this Idris Elba-narrated trip to Africa. There will be elephants!
