Everybody’s making Stephen King adaptations these days, even AT&T, which has lined up an adaptation of King’s Mr. Mercedes as a TV series for the Audience network on DirecTV. The show is about a detective who gets pulled out of retirement by a serial killer, and if that sounds a little too straightforward for a Stephen King show, it’s probably worth noting that this trailer features the killer dressing up like a clown and running a bunch of people down with a car—making this sort of like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup but with King’s It and Christine instead of chocolate and peanut butter.

Mr. Mercedes stars Brendan Gleeson and Harry Treadaway, and it will premiere on August 9.
