Over the weekend, Adult Swim teased the return of Genndy Tartakovsky’s cult-classic animated series Samurai Jack with a series of atmospheric teasers, and today the network followed those up with our first full look at the show’s highly anticipated fifth season. Fifty years have passed since we last left Jack, who is now cursed to wander the earth forever after big bad Aku closed all the time portals that allowed Jack to battle him through history. As a result of all that time travel, Jack has stopped aging, leading to a crisis of identity and existential suffering for our our squared-jawed hero.Add in the fact that Aku has enslaved humankind, and yeah, things are looking pretty bleak.

Will Jack regain his sense of purpose and defeat Aku once and for all? He’s at least going to try, because otherwise there wouldn’t be much of a season. Samurai Jack premieres on March 11 at 11 p.m. ET on Adult Swim.
