The third season of ABC’s connective-tissue-turned-TV-show Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuts later this month, setting off another year of spy antics and snarky Clark Gregg asides. As per the latest trailer for the upcoming season, it looks like the show is going to be all Inhumans all the time now, with the Movie Trailer Guy-voiced announcer declaring that the team is going “to defend the world against the very ones they fight to save.” So apparently you can expect a lot of fighting and defending and saving out of this season, although not Defenders defending, because that one’s going to be on Netflix.

As for new stuff, Chloe Bennett’s character is apparently going by her birth name, Daisy Johnson, now, and there’s a first glimpse at the porcupine-looking silhouette of Lash, the new villain being played by former NFL player Matthew Willig. Beyond that, the trailer is mostly just a semi-coherent jumble of people using superpowers in the absence of any supporting context, which actually makes it a pretty good ad for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., now that we think about it.
